Membership Committee: Velma reported that there are currently 62 members in the Roost right now. Dues are due next month. Single memberships are $35.00 and couples are $60.00.

Social Committee: Bonnie collected money and unsold tickets for the Bull Roast. We currently have over 300 tickets sold. She also gave out Bull Roast job assignments. If anyone had donations or giveaways, they can bring them that night or drop them off to Bonnie ASAP. Every member should bring a bottle for the wheel.

Good and Welfare: Happy April Birthday to Tina, Joe, Betty, Rob, Darlene, and Kathy!

Polar Bear Plunge: Kim reported that Roost 74 raised somewhere over $6000.00 at this year’s event-way to go plungers!

Charity Committee: Nothing to report.

Artwork Committee: Shelved until the end of summer.

Old Business:

  1. Ken York thanked everyone for participating in the Greene Turtle fundraiser for Nick York’s soccer trip to Scotland-over $2000.00 was raised.

New Business:

  1. Election of new officers- all current officers were renominated and agreed to accept the position for the 2008-2009 season. A vote will still take place next month in case anyone would like to write in a vote. No additional nominations were taken at this meeting.
  2. Horseshoe event at Timber Creek-will not take place this year. Timber Creek will be closing this summer so a new location may need to be chosen next year if the tournament continues.
  3. Annual Picnic-membership voted on a date of Saturday, July 20th for the picnic so put it on your calendars. The rain date will be Sunday, July 20th. This picnic will replace the July meeting on the 8th. Guests are welcome. More information will be discussed at the next meeting.
  4. Raven’s Away Trip-there is interest in doing a weekend away for one of the games next season. Don has agreed to look into the schedule and tell us what our options are for a possible trip. More information to follow.
  5. Atlantic City bus trip-the Roost voted on doing a Saturday bus trip to Atlantic City on August 2nd. Bonnie will have more details for us next month. We need approximately 50 people to make it work. Members will be offered first opportunity and it will open to guests if room allows.
  6. Adopt A Highway-Roy will be bringing us more information about this opportunity next month. There was definitely interest by Roost members.

Adjournment: Lori Chrest motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:35pm and Velma Schleicher seconded.

Next month’s meeting is Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 at The Greene Turtle.
